Systems biology seeks to clarify how the phenotype of organisms results from the integrated action of the molecular components, as
well as to uncover theoretically understood principles of biological organization. Pursuance of these goals is empowered by experimental “omics” methodologies that are nowadays able to characterize the cell state with unprecedented detail, and by computational approaches for effectively managing and exploring these abundant data. The course will cover both, enabling experimental and computational methodologies and theory-driven insights on the principles of biological organization.
